My beautiful wife, Dr. Alice White, and I celebrated twenty-five fabulous years together this past June. To mark this achievement, we returned to our honeymoon location of Barbados, with all three of our college-aged daughters. Each of our girls, in their own way, expressed their sincere appreciation for having had the special opportunity to grow up on Daniel Island. Alice and I have no doubt that the past ten years our family has spent on D.I., coupled with the amazing people our Island Town attracts, contributed mightily toward forming strong young women ready for the challenges and opportunities that await them.

We're currently building the Island's first Starbucks and decided to further invest in opening an expansive wine bar and retail store called Bin 526. Check out our ongoing construction next. to ReFuel, (the most beautiful convenience store in North America!) Together with my D.I. neighbor and our Managing Partner Mr. Bill Hoffman, we hope Bin 526 will become a special place for D.I. residents and guests to gather, laugh and learn more about the great wines of the world.

Daniel Island customers have demonstrated a willingness to pursue lifestyle experiences that feed their curiosity and heighten their passions. The wine buying experience at Bin 526 will be centered upon building a relationship between knowledgeable store staff and our customers who are equally passionate about their wine.

The goal of Bin 526 will be to make interesting wines more accessible to a growing and appreciative audience. We want our customers to be more confident in their knowledge of wines from around the world, so that our patrons are never intimidated by a weighty wine list when entertaining clients and friends at high end restaurants and resorts. We will be dedicated to creating a customer experience that arouses the best memories of wine buying trips to Napa, Sonoma and Tuscany.

Starbucks ·will be bringing their outstanding international brand and hundreds of daily customers to our "Southern Style" front patio that will wrap across the street-facing facade of the building. Any customer for either location will be able to enjoy their purchases and linger across the 3,000+ SF of outdoor patio seating. The focus of 20 Fairchild Street is on creating a comfortable and casual, yet upscale, atmosphere where people can gather to purchase coffee, spirits, wine, and craft beers and to linger among old friends and new acquaintances.

Daniel Island continues to grow rapidly and I agree with critics who state we have just enough apartments. There is a definite limit to land supply and this will keep prices higher than most surrounding communities. More importantly, we are attracting people with vision and energy who continue to drive our community's quality of lifestyle ever higher. I will always choose investing in Main Street over Wall Street, and I encourage you too also! Alice and I are so grateful for our many friends here who helped raise our daughters and hope we can continue to give back for many years to come.
